The Lite'n Up 50 cigarette filter is completely reusable, you can clean it out and use it over and over again. The Lite'n Up 50 reusable filter can reduce the harmful effects of smoking such as tars and nicotine up to 50%. To clean your Lite'n Up 50 cigarette filter, the directions are located on the back of the package and should be done every 5-10 cigarettes. You will find that it is easier if you clean it right after finishing a cigarette, so that the residue does not harden, making it harder to clean. Pull apart as shown on the illustration on back of the package. The pewter tip should be removed. Use a cotton swab, a twisted piece of tissue or a pipe cleaner to clean the stem, stem slot, barrel, and internal areas of the mouthpiece. Don't try to wipe clean with your hands. Use a nylon bristle clipped from a household brush to gently clean the small air vent. Do not clean with a metal object, such as a needle or pin, which could damage the filter. Wash all four sections of the filter occasionally in a mild soap solution. Some staining will occur with prolonged use. After cleaning, push the filter parts together firmly and use as before.
