@kylesdad77 Sorry Phil to scare you–I never have babied my meerschaums or pipes and it was just meant as a ‘handle with care’ on a lattice but if it makes you feel any better I never take my own advice and just enjoy my pipes and even smoke meerschaums (even signed ones) while walking around in the pool! Good smoking to you-I always handle meerschaums and think it actually helps color them-More to come. Good smoking Jason

Hi Brad or is it Brandford?, Please see my video on waxing meerschaums. I keep a tube of beeswax with a little added olive oil to soften and lubricate the wax and you can add a little parifin wax or something similar all the time-it melts-I wipe it off or gently polish all the time and that also takes off the dirt and extra wax that gets on pipe from handling. Glad to hear about your meerschaum coloring so nice-suggestion after coloring slows a bit put some beeswax (a little oil like olive oil) and maybe a little parifin wax and watch the color ‘pop’ after it starts melting. Jason
Well by break I just mean the round lattice work will break-in a little as in the video but does not change the smoke and will color in (with wax) smokes the same. Jason
I received a lattice meer from my sister for Christmas, thanks for the heads up. I really love the way it is coloring I’ve only been smoking it since Christmas and i love how the bright pink shines through the holes in the lattice.
Paul, I think Lattice work on a meerschaum pipe might cause it to disperse heat and make it a little cooler (I mean slightly cooler) because of surface area like on a sandblast pipe. I was just trying to say even though I wax, Clean and handle all of my meerschaums they will break out some of the lattice work from handling. It does not change the smoke and will all color anyway. we used to smoke hash out of a meerschaum pipe when I was in the Army. I doubt Ward and June would condone such a thing.
i actually tried smoking coffee through a bong once. it tastes like normal coffee. it doesn’t get you high obviously, but i did get an energy kick from it.
